November 21/21 ~ Reign of Christ Sunday @ 10:30 am (in-person worship with Covid protocols in place).
Our gospel focus is John 18:33-37...Pilate asks Jesus, "Are you the king of the Judeans?" Jesus' kingdom was and is misunderstood. Jesus lived as servant king/leader. He prayed as he lived into the words: "Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven."
Perhaps we're seeing this enacted in our part of the world today through the efforts of first responders, neighbours, donors, and volunteers who are reaching out to those affected by the flooding in BC. This weather catastrophe may have shut down all access in and out of the lower mainland, but it has not shut down people’s capacity to care for one another and all creatures great and small.
