March 6/22 ~ Communion Service for the 1st Sunday of Lent, and our Annual Congregational Meeting will take place in the CE Hall beginning 10:30. There's the option to join via Zoom for one or both.
The gospel focus for worship is: Luke 4:1-13 ~ Jesus in the Desert.
The purpose of our meeting is to review and receive the 2021 Annual Report and Financial Statements and to receive the 2022 Annual Budget, Nominations Report, Jan's formal intention of retirement, and various other items of importance. Importantly, there will be a presentation regarding the proposed Collaborative Ministry with Big Valley-Erskine, and Joel Den Haan, from Chinook Winds Region, will be online with us for that item in particular.
To ensure the congregation is informed and has time for deliberation, we'll then put forward a Notice of Motion regarding the declaration of vacancy, and naming a Search Committee regarding the ministry profile that's been drafted by the joint task group. A second Congregational Meeting on Thursday, March 17 @ 7 pm. Again, there'll be the option of joining via Zoom.
***Note: If you're joining in worship online, please have with you something for the Communion Meal -- juice and crackers or tea and toast, etc.
