June 5/22 ~ Pentecost Sunday, with communion... All are invited to wear a ‘Splash of Red’ as a way to incorporate the theme. Pentecost is baptism by fire... the fleury of God’s Holy Spirit igniting the passion of Christ in the dispirited disciples. Chaos and confusion settle into understanding and direction.
Our bible readings are from Acts 2:1-21 (the day of Pentecost) and Genesis 11:1-9 (tower of Babel) Our in-person service -- with social/refreshment time following -- is at 10:30 a.m.

Pentecost is often referred to as the Birthday of the Church. The United Church of Canada (with our 97th Anniversary being June 10/22) is part of the 2000-year community of Christ’s disciples―a worldwide communion that is not bound by geography, space, or time ·
