~ANNOUNCEMENTS & INVITATIONS as of November 09, 2018~
• Remembrance Sunday ~ November 11th.. PLEASE NOTE, there will be no worship service held at Stettler United Church. People are welcome to attend St. George's Anglican Church @ 10:00 a.m. AND/OR the Legion Community Service at the Performing Arts Centre (with overflow seating & video-feed in the school gym) @ 10:45 p.m.

• November 12, 2-18 ~ Office will be closed Monday November 12, 2018.
• Hosting Coronation Presbytery ~ November 20 - 21. Stettler United Church is hosting the final meeting of our presbytery. (Our congregation was chosen because archival records name us as having been hosts at the beginning of this journey; many, many years ago.) You are welcome to help and participate in a number of ways:
o Offer to Billet (contact the church office and let Michele know how many rooms/beds you have to offer)
o Help with meals. The Stettler and Erskine UCW, and the Men's Breakfast Group, are coordinating the meals.
o Share particular memories and/or photos. Sheets representing the 90 year history of Coronation Presbytery will be posted on the walls of the C. E. Hall. Add your stories.
o Book Display & Palestinian Olive Oil products will be here for your perusal/purchase.
o GO Project Presentation ~ November 21st @ 11:30 a.m. Jenny Munholland and Isaac Hernando will make a presentation to Coronation Presbytery. All are welcome to come and here of their experiences of mission and community building during their trip to Vancouver in July, 2018.
o Closing Worship (with Communion) ~2:00 PM, November 21st... guests, especially retired Ministry Personnel and previous Presbyters, are invited to attend
• Stettler United Church will participate in Moonlight Madness ~ November 30th, 6:00 - ?? We can use space in the sanctuary, downstairs and/or outside to welcome people in seasonal singing; photo booth nativity scene; and making luminaries in remembrance of a loved one they miss during the holidays, or for decorating their own steps or those of our church. Laura & Zoe Norman have offered to help with the craft. We need other people to help host singing, take photos, etc. Please contact the church office to volunteer! Thanks.
• Got Cans? ~ please save us your empty cans, we have a couple of volunteers that will help make luminaries on Nov 30th in conjunction with the tree lighting.
o Devotion Books ~ These Days & Upper Room fall editions are available in the Narthex, and CE wing book shelves.

o Christmas Bazaar ~ Can you HELP?? ~ Preparations for the Annual UCW Christmas Bazaar now begin! November 13th is Candy making, and November 15th is pie making. If you can help December 01 (serving or at the tables), please contact Letty Docherty @ 403-742-8465. Thank you!!
