April 28th ~ Jan’s last service before her Sabbatical & Holiday time (May 1- Sept 1/19) Goodwins are away this Sunday (participating in a United Church “Music Matters” conference in Halifax http://musicunited.ca/music-matters-2019-april-26-28-in-halifax/#more-55188 ) Veronica Webber will be our guest accompanist.
• Many thanks to the Ministry & Personnel, Worship & Pastoral Care Committees, in particular who have been making arrangements alongside Jan in preparation for coverage during her absence.
• PLEASE remember that communication and calendar coordination are especially important. Contact Michele @ the church office with information. It’s best to know twice than not at all!

LUV2Read~ **Date Change ~ May 02nd** ~ Meet the Author, Bonnie Swainston who wrote this month's book. Bonnie lives in Stettler, and “Sincerely, Mistaken” is a book that can be discussed even if you haven't read it. Come out an be a part of the evening, this is our chance to get answers to the questions we always wonder about straight from the author.
Back by Popular Demand ~ Let it Flow (acrylic flow art) Paint Night! September 20th @ 7:00 pm. Get your tickets (early starting next Wednesday, May 1st) from Michele in the office, or at spring fair on May 04th, after spring fair they will be available from committee members (I will announce that). Tickets are $40.00 each, and includes; wine, snacks, 2 canvases, handouts and all supplies.
Spring Fair ~ Saturday May 04, 2019 ~ Sneaking up pretty fast! Hope to see you and your friends & family there! Please help us spread the word about the event so it will be a success for everyone, plus there will be a door prize!
Church Mice Show & Sale ~ Saturday May 11th 1 – 4 pm. Join us in the CE wing to browse and/or purchase the wonderful art work created by the Church Mice. Your donation includes refreshments and cookies.
Spring Newsletter ~ The spring newsletter will be ready today. It will be emailed as a .pdf to all of you on the list. Feel free to print out to share with a friend, grab one on Sunday, or stop in the office during office hours for a copy.
Support for Sabbatical ~ Many thanks to those who through participation in special fundraisers, and generous personal donations, are recognizing that we will have some extra expenses May – July. The Worship Committee are presently confirming leadership for each Sunday. Some of those are Pulpit Supply. The Honoria offered then is $215, plus mileage. Perhaps you’d like to offer a corresponding gift to the church over and above your regular donations. Is so, thank you very much.

Food Bank ~ Do you have plastic grocery bags? If so the food bank needs and would appreciate them. They can be dropped off at the church during normal office hours (Monday – Friday 9:00 am to Noon). Thanks!
