Our Minister's Sabbatical

OUR MINISTER’S SABBATICAL…

The Board has approved Jan Richardson’s notice of intent for paid Sabbatical Leave, May 1 – July 30, 2019.

Our various committees – Ministry & Personnel (M&P) in particular – will plan how they’ll contribute lay leadership and additional ministerial coverage during that time. Here’s a link to the Pastoral Relations Handbook (see page 42) that outlines the purpose and planning of sabbatical time

Certainly there are those who would like to support a sabbatical for our minister, but wonder how the Pastoral Charge can afford it.

• Ideas are percolating regarding a special “Support the Sabbatical” fundraiser. Get involved by contacting Mary-Lou Manson 403-742-5004.
• Perhaps you’d like to invite/host and/or financially sponsor a visiting minister for a week or weekend next spring. Who do you know that you’d like to introduce or return to our church for a visit?
